COVID 19 PANDEMIC
As we approach the 10th week of this extreme emergency situation, we are much clearer as to its impact on our lives. At this time, it is particularly pleasing to be able to report success for the emergency team (comprised of those able and willing to provide assistance to others forced take up "self isolation").
Thanks to the selfless generosity of these residents, prescrptions have been collected from the pharmacy and urgent supplies delivered, wherever required.
Provision of this help continues, and will do so for as long as the pandemic continues.
The number of available volunteers is currently sufficient to meet the requests for help, but if you would still be willing to get involved, do please get in touch and provide your contact details so that we can add you to our list of reserves. We cannot know whether circumstances might change.
These details will not be publicised but kept for use only when a village resident needs your help.

Home But Not Alone is a campaign launched in Suffolk in response the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak. Its aim is to help connect people or organisations who want to volunteer in their communities, with neighbours who are most in need. Volunteers will help with essential services such as delivering groceries or medication, whilst following the Government’s social distancing guidelines. Anyone who would like to gift their time please download the Tribe Volunteer app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store.

- Staffed 9am to 5pm everyday
- It is designed to help the most vulnerable in our communities
- It takes on average 1,300 calls a week
- The majority of calls are in relation to food deliveries and general enquiries
Phone calls are answered and cases managed by staff at each district, borough or county council depending on the type of enquiry. Wherever possible we link people in need with local groups and businesses, who are doing an amazing job in our communities. This phoneline is for vulnerable people in our communities, and not for general Coronavirus enquiries.
